The Takeaway Sculpture, Located in N Santa Monica Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210, USA. Is a must-see piece of artwork. Created by Tom Friedman. On July 15, the Beverly Hills City Council and the city’s Arts and Culture Commission convened at the Tom Friedman sculpture “Takeaway” in Beverly Gardens Park’s Rodeo Drive section to reveal an improved landscaping plan. The sculpture was placed in 2018 after being ordered by the city of Beverly Hills.
A takeout box-balancing man sculpture standing 14 feet tall out of stainless steel. A pioneering resident of Beverly Hills named Willis D. Longyear donated Henri Alfred Marie Jacquemart’s Hunter and Hounds to the City with the intention that it serve as a memorial to his son, who had died fighting in World War I. Jaume Plensa’s Endless V, which explores the state of humanity in a technologically advanced world and incorporates eight languages, including English, Spanish, and Hebrew, is also on display along the park.
Unveiled in January 2019, is magnificent. It represents the haste and deadlines, that many of us face nowadays when made of stainless steel. The person balances a number of takeout boxes precariously while rushing to finish the numerous deliveries on his head. Additionally, it represents elements of the so-called gig economy, which is common in many contemporary nations.
